UPPER BHERI HYDROELECTRONIC PROJECT (281 MW)
Upper Bheri Hydroelectronic Project is located at Dolpa District of Karnali Pradesh of Nepal with installed capacity of 281 MW. The catchment area at Intake is 4173 sq.km. with Design Discharge : 75 m 3 /s. A concrete Dam (gravity free flow) will be built across the Thuli Bheri river.
The crest elevation of the overflow dam will be at 1935 masl and height of Dam will be 50m from river bed.
The produced electricity will be connected to the national grid through a 220 kV transmission line at a substation at Jagdulla Hub which is located 5 km approx. from the project site.
The project is estimated to generate 1966 GWh of energy annually.
